Butch serves as Chairman of the Senate Agriculture, Livestock & Irrigation Committee, working on legislation involving Montana agriculture, water use, irrigation systems, livestock production, grazing, and issues affecting ranchers and agricultural producers across the state.
Senate Natural Resources Committee
This committee focuses on Montana's land, water, wildlife, forests, energy resources, conservation efforts, and outdoor recreation. It reviews policies involving natural resource management and the long-term stewardship of Montana's environment
Senate Business, Labor & Economic Affairs Committee
This committee reviews legislation involving businesses, workforce issues, labor laws, economic development, licensing, insurance, and policies that impact Montana jobs and local economies.
